Therapy Modalities
At Inner Healing and Serenity Psychotherapy, we offer many different modalities to treat conditions as unique as you. Some of our modalities include:
Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
Through IFS, you can learn to unblend from the parts of you that are offering you problems, and gain insight into the origin of these parts, while learning how to manage these parts and show up for them.
Schema Therapy
Through schema therapy, you can learn which maladaptive schemas you have and how to heal from them by doing the work to delve into memories of the origins of your problems.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
With CBT, you will learn to find alternative thoughts to the unhelpful thoughts you experience, and learn to rewire your brain to not think so negatively.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
With DBT, you will learn that two opposites can be true at the same time, and rewire your brain to not think in such black and white ways. You will also learn to regulate your emotions, learn mindfulness, interpersonal skills, and how to best manage distress.
Narrative Therapy
Through Narrative Therapy, you will be invited to re-author your life story and learn new ways to navigate your problems, while separating your identity from your issues. This will foster growth and change in a way that allows you to take back control of your life.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, you will learn to stay focused on the present moment and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment.
